Archery Huntress
Most biographies start off telling you mundane details about a person’s life and accomplishments. I would rather start off by telling who I am not...
I am not an archery expert, nor am I a hunting supply shop owner, or even an outdoorsy type. I am a 44 year old female, wife and mother of two wonderful children. Our family is in the “hunt” for an activity that we can all enjoy; as well as something we can benefit from on multiple levels. We need an activity that will allow us to unplug as a family unit, get some fresh air, exercise and eventually become a hunting family that is able to stock it’s freezer with healthy, organic game meat. By doing this, it will help us become healthier, while teaching us, the adults and the children alike, a life lesson in self-sufficiency. I picked up and shot my first bow ever in January 2013. Instantly smitten, I immediately purchased a bow. My husband and I thought that blogging this journey may also be beneficial to others. We decided to start this website, not only to feature my personal growth, but the progress our family makes along the way to becoming more active together. It is a website designed for women, written from a woman’s prospective, and will hopefully encourage more women to get involved in the sport(s) of archery and hunting. I will never try to give an expert opinion or advice since I am not an expert; just a beginner who is willing to show, not only, my accomplishments; but more importantly, my learning experiences. The goal of this website is to share my stories, and provide honest product reviews that we come across during this journey. Our family feels very strongly about reviewing only products made in America, and items we can give a positive nod to. We refuse to bash a product, as we realize just because something didn’t work for our family doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be perfect for someone else. This is my life. Please join us, and maybe you, too, will be inspired to pick up this hobby. It’s time to unplug and reconnect with the great outdoors. Yep! I checked, and it’s still out there. Happy Hunting!
